In a significant development for the robotics industry, China launched the first international standard for humanoid robot data sets.

The National and Local Co-Built Humanoid Robotics Innovation Center in Shanghai's Zhangjiang AI Innovation Town has been instrumental in this initiative.

This milestone highlights two breakthroughs: the creation of a global standard for humanoid robots and the formation of an international standards working group. This group includes 58 leading experts from 12 countries and regions, such as the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany.

The center plans to release the VTouch data set, which will include a GitHub project page and detailed instructions, to collaborate with global experts in shaping the future of the industry.

The new standard is grounded in principles of comprehensiveness, practicality and safety. It builds on China's robust research and existing standards framework to achieve international recognition. The center's expertise in data collection and application has been crucial in developing this standard.

To further advance China's humanoid robot industry, the center is actively working on national standards while contributing to global ones. This effort aims to provide practical support for the industry and integrate Chinese standards into the global system, enhancing service to the worldwide market.
