Shanghai's Pudong New Area on March 28 released China's first white paper to cover all aspects of foreign-related rule of law — including legislation, law enforcement, the judiciary, compliance, legal services and talent cultivation.
The white paper highlights Pudong's efforts to build a legal system that supports its high-quality development and greater openness. Authorities say the initiative aims to create a world-class business environment and strengthen legal protections for the area's role as a leader in China's reform and innovation.
