The Pudong New Area Promotion Conference on Global Operation Programme (GOP) and the Ninth Release Event in Headquarters Economy was held on Dec 12. 

The Pudong New Area is home to over a thousand headquarters of companies from different sectors. These include regional headquarters of multinational corporations, large enterprise headquarters, operational headquarters, and regional headquarters of international organizations. These enterprises play a significant role in driving the economic development of Pudong.

To promote the development of the headquarters economy, Pudong New Area had officially launched the "GOP" in the boned zone on Dece 16, 2020. 

The program aims to attract more leader-type headquarters enterprises and global operators that have the capability of allocating global resources to settle in Pudong, thereby enhancing Pudong's position in the global industrial, value, and innovation chains.

Since the program's launch about three years ago, over 180 enterprises have been included in the cultivation and service plan.

During the conference, measures to support the high-quality development of global operators in Pudong were released. A batch of new global operators included in the plan also signed agreements with their respective development zones. 

Additionally, the conference unveiled the top 10 examples of the headquarters economy for three categories: energy level enhancement, functional superposition, and overseas expansion.
