The 2023 Robot Technology Innovation Forum and the second Zhangjiang Robot Ecology Summit took place at the Zhangjiang science center in Pudong New Area, Shanghai on March 17. Many experts attended the event to discuss the future of the industry.

Themed on "Robot+", the summit aimed to build a communication platform in the robot industry, promote technological progress and enhance the influence of the science center's robot industry.

Pudong New Area is developing the robot industry with Zhangjiang Robot Valley as its core. To enhance the driving force of industrial development, the local government has rolled out policies to attract talents and promote the layout of forward-looking fields such as collaborative robots and high-end medical robots.

There are more than 100 robot enterprises in Pudong, with the output value of core robot enterprises surpassing 10 billion yuan ($1.46 billion). Core technologies such as servo motors, controllers, and intelligent algorithms have been continuously updated, and taken a lead in the industry.

The first Recommended list of Shanghai Intelligent Robot Benchmarking Enterprises and Application Scenarios was officially released at the event, which will promote the intelligent terminal industry represented by robots.

The enterprises on the list cover the seven major fields of industrial intelligence, medical health, construction services, agricultural services, public services, household services, and special emergency response.

At the same time, the list includes a total of eight enterprises in Zhangjiang such as MOOE ROBOT and Shanghai ZD Medical Technology Co.

Shanghai plans to create 10 industry-leading robot head brands, 100 demonstration robot application scenarios, and a robot related industry worth 100 billion yuan by 2025.
