The World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2022 will be held at the Shanghai World Expo Center from Sep 1 to 3, according to Shanghai Commission of Economy and Informatization.

Themed "Intelligent Connectivity, Infinite Multiverse", the conference will gather pioneers from the global technology industry to discuss major topics regarding technological innovation, metaverse, brain-computer interface, and unmanned systems.

The three-day event will feature two plenary sessions on scientific frontiers and industrial development, and over 10 themed forums.

Some 200 exhibitors will attend the conference to showcase their latest offerings. Over 30 percent of these companies are first-time exhibitors.

The metaverse exhibition, one of the highlights this year, will showcase the latest advances in the artificial intelligence industry.

Ten matchmaking activities for sectors including metaverse, green energy, investment and financing will also be held to facilitate connections between exhibitors and buyers.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the WAIC.
