The 2021 Shanghai Free Trade Zone Cloud+ Talent Innovation Conference recently opened in Shanghai.
As a signature event of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base for Overseas Professionals, the conference has been held for six years in a row since 2016, attracting nearly 3,500 projects from 39 countries and regions.
This year's event featured 611 projects from 18 countries, with 60 outstanding projects related to artificial intelligence, integrated circuits and biomedicine awarded prizes.
Organizers said that the award-wining projects will take part in online and offline road shows and be given access to cooperation opportunities with several investment institutions.
"We hope to start our business in Pudong as soon as possible," said Xu Weiwei, who along with his partners won an award at the conference with their low power-consumption and precise positioning ultra-wide band chip.
"We hope that the chip can fill the gap between domestic and overseas markets. Pudong boasts a comprehensive IC industrial chain which will make this easier for us," Xu added.
According to the organizers, the five-day event had also cooperated with professional service platforms such as Zhangjiang Incubator, Aliyun Innovation Center and IdeaLab to hold various activities to meet the demands of overseas projects.
