A signing ceremony for projects focusing on the construction of a headquarters economic zone for marine industries in Lin-gang Special Area was held in Shanghai on Dec 19.

The projects brought into the special area more than 1 billion ($142 million) in capital. The promotion of the projects was officially launched at the ceremony.

The headquarters economic zone will consist of 13 buildings, including two office buildings, eight laboratory buildings, two intelligent research and development centers and an exhibition hall.

The construction of the zone is expected to be completed in December 2022 and be built into a modern intelligent engine to drive the development of the local marine industry.
