At Taikoo Li Qiantan, a silver airplane installation titled Qihang (Departure) has landed on the east lawn of the central park, kicking off the mall's fifth-anniversary celebration. The program features flight-themed displays, exhibitions and interactive installations, including a travel photography exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of Hong Kong's City Magazine and a Cathay Pacific 80th anniversary pop-up. As the lifestyle festival dubbed the New Bund Chillout is now underway, the mall is about to bring together more than 600 international and local brands and expand dining options to more than 100 in the future.

At the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, Boundless Questions presents 18 original installations created by scientists, artists and artificial intelligence. Rather than focusing solely on scientific knowledge, the exhibition explores philosophical and ethical questions surrounding humanity, intelligence, nature, time and space.

The Museum of Art Pudong is also offering a diverse program. La Galerie du 19M Shanghai, running from Sept 25 to Nov 15, brings the creative spirit of Chanel's Paris-based 19M workshop to Shanghai through exhibitions, lectures and workshops. Giorgio Morandi: Solo offers a rare chance to see the largest exhibition of the renowned still-life painter's work held anywhere in the world this century.
