The 2026 New Bund Chillout is bringing an autumn bundle of fun to Pudong from Sept 20 to Nov 1, featuring floral landscapes, light shows, riverside performances, lifestyle markets and diverse activities throughout the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays.
Qiantan Leisure Park has upgraded its landscape with one terrace, three flower fields and five gardens. Seasonal plants add new colors to the park, while a riverside floral train winds its way through the gardens. Large-scale installations by famous creative director Tomas De Bruyne combine nature and design.
As a main Pudong venue of the Shanghai International Light Festival, Qiantan staged facade shows, bridge projections and art installations on opening night. Qianjiatan Road has become an 800-meter immersive light corridor, featuring works such as Austrian designer Georg Öhler's award-winning "Humming Bird".
The largest JZ festival in its 22-year history will run from Oct 16 to Nov 1, featuring more than 100 musicians from over 20 countries. Outdoor performances and forums will be staged for free.
Four themed markets will run throughout the event with shaved ice, desserts and coffees, drinks, and bread. Meanwhile, a diverse range of activities ranging from esports experiences and sports competitions to ballet, dance and stand-up comedy are also in store.
Meanwhile, a "New Bund Passport" is being rolled out to offer local business benefits and free rides on a themed double-decker shuttle bus.
