Pudong's CIIE veterans set to unveil new innovations
The 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) is set to be held in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10. Many multinational companies in Pudong are seasoned participants, returning this year with the same enthusiasm and an even stronger lineup of innovative products.
Novo Nordisk will highlight innovative therapies such as the world's first once‑weekly injection combining basal insulin with GLP-1 receptor agonist, IcoSema, and the original long-acting human growth hormone with the highest prescription volume worldwide, Somapacitan (sold as Sogroya).
Over the past eight years, Novo Nordisk has brought more than 10 innovative products to CIIE for their China debut. Many have since moved from the expo floor to wider commercial application and secured inclusion in China's national medical insurance catalog.

Siemens Healthineers will also return for its ninth CIIE appearance, presenting solutions spanning early disease screening, precision diagnosis, personalized treatment and rehabilitation management.
Among nearly 200 innovative products and solutions it showcased during previous CIIEs, around 85 percent have received approval in China and about 60 percent have entered localized production.
Year after year, the CIIE is proving to be more than a showcase for innovation. It is helping turn exhibits into products, products into market opportunities, and exhibitors into long-term investors — creating new growth momentum for global companies in China.
