MAP's fifth anniversary exhibition presents Jean Nouvel: Without the Artist, Architecture Disappears, the celebrated architect's first solo exhibition staged inside a building of his own design.
Through videos, models, archives, installations, and recreated studio scenes, the exhibition presents Nouvel's more than 50-year career across five continents. Visitors can explore his architectural philosophy while experiencing the museum itself as a key part of the exhibition.
The show also highlights Nouvel's achievements in furniture and product design, including six works from his Conspicuous series. Admission also includes access to MAP's other ongoing exhibitions, allowing visitors to enjoy multiple artistic experiences with a single ticket.
Meanwhile, the immersive MEOW, CATS! @THE BRITISH LIBRARY exhibition at Shanghai Library East explores the relationship between cats and humans through recreated collections from the British Library. Running through Oct 18, the exhibition traces the cultural and historical significance of cats across civilizations.
Featuring archaeological evidence, ancient artifacts, and interactive activities, the exhibition transforms academic knowledge into an engaging cultural journey, making it a family-friendly summer destination.
