Pudong parks bloomed with summer lotus beauty
The 13th Shanghai Lotus and Water Lily Exhibition opened on June 28, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in blooming lotus landscapes and a variety of summer activities across Pudong. Highlights include a traditional Chinese painting-inspired night tour at Shenyuan Garden in Shanghai Expo Culture Park.
As one of the exhibition's sub-venues, Shenyuan Garden recreated scenes from classic Chinese paintings through lotus-filled ponds, illuminated evening displays, and immersive cultural experiences. Since the launch of its night tour on July 3, visitors have enjoyed guqin performances, traditional handicrafts, and a uniquely atmospheric after-dark experience.
Around Pudong, lotus flowers and water lilies are also in full bloom throughout the district. At Century Park, a nearly 4,000-square-meter lotus pond offers visitors a picturesque setting to admire vibrant pink blossoms amid lush summer greenery.

Liandong Park showcases white water lilies alongside Taxodium trees and wooden paths, while Mianqing Park features a wide variety of lotus blooms, including elegant double-petal white lotus flowers.
The exhibition highlights Pudong's diverse summer landscapes, offering visitors the opportunity to experience nature, culture, and seasonal beauty throughout the city.
