The program integrates culture, commerce, tourism, sports, and exhibitions, bringing night experiences to streets, parks, waterfronts, and communities. It connects the Shanghai Shopping Festival, Shanghai Summer International Consumption Season, and peak holiday spending periods, with the goal of enhancing summer nightlife across the city.
Shanghai's renewed "5+5" night consumption initiative highlights five landmark destinations and five popular nightlife hubs. Landmark activities focus on Shanghai-style culture, riverside arts, fashion, traditional heritage, and light displays, offering a wide range of experiences for locals and tourists alike.
In Pudong, Lujiazui Fortville Riverside and Super Brand Mall Area have launched three themed routes: World Cup entertainment, international art appreciation, and family-friendly study tours. Sites include Oriental Pearl Tower, Super Brand Mall, Shanghai World Financial Center, Museum of Art Pudong, Jin Mao Tower, and Shanghai Ocean Aquarium.
Meanwhile, Qiantan has introduced summer events, including a beer festival and a coffee and dessert festival. Pudong New Area will issue night-time consumption vouchers and continue its weekly prize draw to encourage spending and boost the city's summer economic vitality.
