The 34th East China Fair (ECF), an event aimed at generating global business opportunities through matchmaking and brand presentations, opened on March 1 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Pudong New Area.

The four-day event, running through March 4, is designed to promote high-quality foreign trade by showcasing cutting-edge innovation and fostering deeper integration between domestic and international markets.

Among the exhibitors, innovative products on display highlight the resilience of China's foreign trade enterprises. Jiangxi Bamboo Technology Development Co debuted a bamboo speaker that uses natural bamboo as the core material for its sound chamber. The speaker features a uniquely designed folded plate conduction device, marking a breakthrough in sound quality.

Buyers from home and abroad have shown strong interest in Chinese-made products. "I am impressed by the technology, quality, and value for money of Chinese products," said Khan Muhammad Imran, a Pakistan buyer attending the fair for the first time.

Comparing Chinese goods with those from other countries, Imran was unequivocal about their edge.

"On one hand, Chinese manufacturers update their technology rapidly and pack a high level of innovation into their products," he said. "On the other hand, Chinese companies can tailor production to specific client requirements, making their products a much better fit for real-world usage scenarios in overseas markets."

As a long-standing trade event hosted in Pudong, the ECF continues to serve as a bridge linking global buyers with Chinese manufacturers, reinforcing Pudong's position as a leading international exhibition and trade center.
