Shanghai Disney Resort to ring in Spring Festival with festive activities

Shanghai Disney Resort in Pudong New Area will roll out a range of Spring Festival celebrations from Jan 28 to March 3.

To welcome the Year of the Horse, the resort will be adorned with horse-themed decorations. Signature areas, such as Mickey Avenue and the Gardens of Imagination, will feature special lanterns and art installations.

Bullseye, a horse character from Pixar's Toy Story, will make his debut at Shanghai Disney Resort's Welcome Moment at the Pepsi E‑Stage on Jan 28. He will also take part in the Spring Festival drumming ceremonies and greet visitors in Toy Story Land. In addition, Bullseye will appear in the Chinese zodiac mural at the Garden of the Twelve Friends.

Zootopia will debut new decorations and interactive experiences inspired by Mayor Winddancer, a horse character from Zootopia 2. Classic attractions across the resort, including the Fantasia Carousel and Woody's Roundup, will feature festive horse elements.

Mickey, Minnie, and other characters will put on special costumes featuring traditional Chinese elements. During the Spring Festival period, the resort will present special performances, including swing dance shows. From the eve of Spring Festival through the Lantern Festival, the nighttime show Spring Festival Celebration: "Our Families" will make a return, with dazzling fireworks lighting up the night sky.

Multiple restaurants across the resort will offer festive menus, including reunion banquets and specialty set meals. Lumiere's Kitchen will serve Spring Festival buffet dinners with live entertainment.

In addition, the resort will roll out multiple themed merchandise collections, including holiday gifts spanning apparel, home decor, plush toys, and more.

During the Spring Festival period, Disneytown will come alive with markets, dance performances, and folk cultural experiences. The resort will also offer special ticket promotions, making it easier for visitors to enjoy the festive fun.
