Pudong's exhibition economy keeps thriving
As one of the world's busiest convention and exhibition centers, the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) in the city's Pudong New Area has kept attracting exhibitors and visitors from both home and abroad.

The 30th Furniture China was held at the center from Sept 10 to 13. This year, the expo not only showcased the latest innovations in design, materials, techniques, and technologies, but also demonstrated the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures, with local and international brands on display.

The China National Furniture Association hosted a special exhibition showcasing China's top furniture brands during the expo, providing a comprehensive view of innovation, technological progress, and sustainability in the country's furniture industry.
SNIEC has surpassed 100 million square meters in sales area since opening, reaching a milestone. "We are extremely proud. Only a few venues worldwide can achieve such a figure," said Michael Kruppe, general manager of SNIEC.
The first Organic Festa Asia was successfully held at SNIEC not long before the furniture expo. This event brought together 234 exhibitors from over 20 countries and regions, showcasing more than 2,000 products, featuring immersive experience areas.

Hosting over 110 expos and fairs and receiving more than 6 million visitors annually, SNIEC has achieved leapfrog development.
With the convention and exhibition industry as a key driver, Pudong hosted 196 economic and trade exhibitions and events in the first eight months of the year, spanning 5.77 million sq m and drawing over 82,000 exhibitors and 5.7 million professional visitors.
