Pudong promotes export of premium specialty agricultural products
A plane carrying 180 boxes of juicy Nanhui honey peaches from Shanghai's Pudong New Area recently landed in Hong Kong, marking the first batch of these premium peaches to enter the Hong Kong market this year. It also signifies Shanghai Tuanxin Farmhouse Cooperative's first foray into the international market.
Motivated by a desire to share Pudong's high-quality agricultural produce with more people, the cooperative, guided by the Pudong agricultural association, began engaging with Hong Kong importers last year.

"Observing the abundance of Thai mangosteens and Australian cherries in Hong Kong's Yau Ma Tei fruit market, we wondered when Pudong's honey peaches might claim a spot," recalled Cheng Caiyan, the cooperative's leader.
To ensure a smooth export process, Pudong Customs provided guidance on obtaining the necessary certifications and implemented a fast-track channel for the rapid inspection and clearance of fresh produce, ensuring the peaches reached Hong Kong swiftly and in optimal condition.

Each box of honey peaches exported to Hong Kong features a unique QR code for traceability, adhering to the cooperative's strict "six unifications" standard — unified techniques, standards, quality, branding, packaging, and pricing.
Looking ahead, the cooperative plans to expand its exports to Hong Kong and Macao based on consumer feedback, further enhancing the global reputation of Pudong's agricultural products.
