Expatriates in Shanghai experience low-carbon lifestyle via cycling in Pudong
The Nordic Shanghai Climate Cycling event took place in Pudong New Area on May 18, bringing together nearly 200 cycling enthusiasts from home and abroad.
This event, guided by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and co-hosted by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Pudong New Area People's Government and the consulates general of Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden in Shanghai, aimed to promote low-carbon lifestyles through cycling.

Audun Skyttermoen from Norway said that cycling is not only an environmentally friendly way to travel but also an excellent outdoor activity. He said that Pudong is a great place to cycle, with clean bike lanes and a pleasant environment.
The 24-kilometer cycling route connected Pudong's environmental landmarks, such as Qiantan Youcheng Park, the Riverside Cultural Context Park, and the Expo Culture Park, offering participants a scenic journey along the Huangpu River.

The event also featured traditional cultural displays and photo booths, adding to the festive atmosphere. Alexander Schandorff, a cycling enthusiast from Denmark, said he's delighted to be part of the event, as it promotes both cycling and a healthy lifestyle.
Pudong has long prioritized ecological, resilient, and green development, continuously creating high-quality environmental spaces. The event not only showcased Pudong's commitment to environmental protection but also served as a platform for international exchanges.
Pudong's leadership emphasized their dedication to an eco-friendly and low-carbon development path, welcoming global enterprises and individuals to invest, travel, and collaborate in Pudong, jointly working toward a better future.
