First domestic demonstration base for embodied intelligence rehabilitation lands in Pudong

Fourier, an industry-leading general purposerobotics company that started its journey from Shanghai's Pudong New Area in 2015, has now expanded its reach to over 60 countries and regions globally.

Fourier and the Shanghai International Medical Center recently announced that they will carry out comprehensive cooperation in areas such as the development of application standards for embodied intelligence robots in rehabilitation medical scenario, the co-creation of rehabilitation programs, and scientific research breakthroughs, and jointly build the first domestic demonstration base for embodied intelligence rehabilitation.

Founded with the vision of empowering human life through robotic technology, Fourier has dedicated itself to the development of rehabilitation robots. Over the past decade, the company has achieved remarkable milestones, from lightweight rehabilitation exoskeletons to the launch of its general-purpose humanoid robot, GR-1, and its successor, GR-2.

Fourier aims to create robots that are not just cold machines but that can adapt, accompany, and empathize with users.

Pudong, where Fourier was founded, is accelerating the development of its layout in the humanoid robot industry. The region has attracted over 100 enterprises in the robot ecosystem and is fostering a full-industry-chain ecosystem through policy support and open application scenarios. With the establishment of the demonstration base, Pudong is poised to become a global innovation hub for the robotics industry.
