The Shanghai representative office of the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP), a globally leading organization in the field of asset protection and material performance, was recently approved for establishment in the New Bund Global Economic Organization Cluster.

Following the official establishment of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering's Shanghai representative office, this new addition further strengthens the Expo Area's position as a preferred destination for international economic organizations.

The newly established Shanghai office of AMPP aims to leverage the organization's global resources to build platforms for international industry exchanges, foster in-depth industry-academia-research collaboration, and facilitate the localization of international standards and the commercialization of technological innovations.

International economic organizations play a pivotal role in promoting international economic exchanges and cooperation, connecting global scientific and technological resources, and leading regional development.

With the implementation of Pudong New Area's new regulations on the promotion of the development of international economic organizations on Jan 1, 2025, the Expo Area is poised to attract even more international economic organizations.

To date, the Expo Area has attracted over 20 international economic organizations in various key sectors, such as international arbitration institutions, important hubs in professional fields, authoritative organizations in rule-making areas, and shipping functional institutions.

Looking ahead, Pudong will continue to strengthen its efforts to attract and nurture international economic organizations that align with the functions and industrial positioning of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone. It will also optimize the business environment, promote the development of international economic organizations, facilitate the introduction of global innovation resources, and expand institutional openness.
