Pudong to launch vouchers during Shanghai International Shopping Festival
Pudong New Area is set to inject new vitality into Shanghai's consumer market with the launch of the Shanghai International Shopping Festival, featuring the distribution of 50 million yuan ($6.87 million) worth of vouchers.
This initiative aims to stimulate consumption across various sectors, including fashion, beauty, gold, and jewelry, with discounts as low as 40 percent off when combined with merchant promotions. Additionally, car promotion activities will be held to boost automotive sales.
The festival will also see three major commercial districts in Pudong hosting themed events that integrate culture, tourism, commerce, and sports. The Lujiazui business circle will collaborate with Disney IP to launch limited-edition merchandise and themed displays. The Qiantan area will align with the 2025 Shanghai International Flower Show, offering a blooming experience for visitors. The Resort commercial district will host movie weeks and music festivals, enhancing the shopping experience with entertainment.
Furthermore, community commercial centers across Pudong will organize serial events, including music festivals and night markets, to create a vibrant consumer atmosphere.
