Shanghai Airport Border Inspection Station launches one-stop services for CIIE
The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) is set to be held in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10. In recent days, Shanghai Pudong International Airport has welcomed a large number of exhibitors and visitors from around the world for the expo. Based on its experience from the previous six editions, the Shanghai Airport Border Inspection Station has introduced four new initiatives related to one-stop services, contributing to the success of the CIIE.
On Nov 2, Mr Henrique, a Brazilian exhibitor, quickly filled out his entry card with the help of volunteers. He was then guided to the designated border inspection area for CIIE exhibitors. Upon seeing Henrique's invitation letter for the CIIE, police in the area promptly led him to the CIIE-dedicated channel to complete entry procedures. Staff also provided transportation services for Henrique after the procedures were completed.
Since preparations for the 7th CIIE started, the Shanghai Airport Border Inspection Station has set up eight dedicated channels and two volunteer service stations for the event, activated a batch of intelligent verification sites, and formed a foreign language volunteer service team to provide exhibitors and visitors with one-stop customs clearance services.
