Honeywell expands presence at CIIE, eyes long-term potential of China's market
China has played a pivotal role in Honeywell's global business layout as a major research and development center and manufacturing base. All of the company's business operations have been established in China, and its Asia-Pacific headquarters are located in Pudong New Area, Shanghai.
As the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) approaches, Honeywell, having attended all previous editions of the expo, revealed that its exhibition space will expand from just over 50 square meters in the first year to 500 sq m this year. According to Yu Feng, president of Honeywell China, unlike other industry-specific exhibitions, the CIIE provides a comprehensive platform for showcasing the company's technological achievements.
Over the past six years, it has exhibited more than 160 innovative technologies, products, and solutions at the CIIE, many of which have successfully entered the Chinese market. Honeywell has also signed more than 120 strategic cooperation agreements with its partners.
At the 7th CIIE, Honeywell will sign cooperation agreements with over 20 partners, covering fields such as energy transition, high-end manufacturing, smart buildings, life sciences and more.
"We hope to seize the opportunities brought by the CIIE to not only achieve cooperation but also lead the development of the industry," said Yu. "By leveraging the CIIE, Honeywell is actively seeking partners to jointly explore how to better serve the Chinese market through strategic collaborations."
Honeywell's three new strategies align well with the concept of new quality productive forces proposed by China. In September this year, the Honeywell Technology Experience Center in Pudong was renovated and relaunched, comprehensively showcasing the company's innovative technologies in automation, future aviation, and energy transition.
Yu stated that Honeywell's focus on these three development trends coincides with the needs of the Chinese market and customers.
At this year's CIIE, Honeywell will exhibit over 100 innovative technologies, products, and solutions, setting a new record. Among them, several products will be making their China debuts.
