As the Cherry Blossom Festival draws near, Gaodong town in Pudong New Area is buzzing with anticipation.

The town's cherry blossoms, particularly the Somei Yoshino variety, are expected to be in full bloom along Xinyue Road and the southern section of the Cherry Blossom Garden within the next 10 days, offering a breathtaking sight for both locals and visitors.

To enhance the cherry blossom viewing experience, Gaodong town has meticulously crafted five classic tour routes that cater to different interests: cherry blossom viewing, walking, cycling, self-driving, and family-friendly options. These routes not only traverse through the most picturesque cherry blossom spots, but also include a range of activities and markets, thus creating an immersive cultural experience.

One of the cherry blossom viewing routes beckons visitors to stroll along a 1.5-kilometer-long path, guiding them straight to the epicenter of the cherry blossom festival. 

For those seeking a leisurely stroll or a vigorous run, the walking route covers approximately 15 km, winding through key scenic spots and green pathways. Cycling enthusiasts can enjoy a 5-km-long ride that combines natural beauty with urban charm.

The self-driving route, ideal for those pressed for time, offers a quick 2-km-long journey through the most stunning cherry blossom avenues. Families can choose between 4 and 8 km paths through ecological gardens and rows of cherry blossom trees. They could also choose a 2-km-long route that connects to community cultural centers and lively markets.

In addition to these planned routes, Gaodong town has gathered information on agricultural bases suitable for family-friendly fruit and vegetable picking. This was done to ensure visitor satisfaction and boost its rural economy. 

This initiative not only celebrates the beauty of cherry blossoms, but also encourages outdoor activities and cultural appreciation, making it a perfect spring destination.

As Gaodong town transforms into a sea of pink and white, it beckons travelers to immerse themselves in its enchanting scenery and vibrant festival atmosphere.
