Inaugural Pudong Shipping Week kicks off in Shanghai

The first-ever Pudong Shipping Week kicked off in Shanghai on Dec 4 with the intention of promoting in-depth exchanges in the industry's green, low-carbon, intelligent, and digital development. The event is set to provide a bigger platform for industry collaboration, effectively enhancing the ecological value of the supply chain.
Running for six days, the inaugural "Pudong Shipping Week" consists of a "1+40" framework, featuring one government-sponsored 2023 Pudong Shipping Week leading conference and 40 industry-led activities categorized into shipping technological innovation, shipping law arbitration, shipping finance and insurance, shipping culture and sports, and other themed seminars. The organizers aim to establish the "Pudong Shipping Week" as an international platform for showcasing innovations, enhancing collaboration, and facilitating rules discussions in the global shipping industry.
The 40-activity series is presenting a diverse range of topics and formats. Participants are including to include international economic organizations, renowned domestic and international shipping companies, industry associations, universities, and research institutions. The format expects to vary from brainstorming forums and seminars to product showcases, business negotiations, signing ceremonies, thank-you events, and even casual sports events for networking.
The content is set to cover areas such as shipping finance and insurance, legal arbitration, green and smart technological innovation, ship management, ship supply, ship trading, and talent development.
During the opening ceremony, industry innovations were announced, and several high-profile shipping projects were officially signed and settled in Pudong.
