Service robots help fight against COVID-19 in Shanghai
Multiple domestically made service robots have been introduced to aid in Shanghai's fight against the latest COVID-19 resurgence, which have helped reduce the risk of cross infection between patients and effectively guaranteed the safety of medical staff.
At the makeshift hospital in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, the first batch of 28 robots have been put into use, which have disinfection and sterilization abilities to avoid cross infection. Each of them is equipped with three disinfection modules: an ultraviolet lamp, an ultra-dry fog generator and a plasma air purifier, and can work 24 hours a day.
The robot can develop a reasonable solution for disinfection by identifying the overall environment within the makeshift hospital. The robot was developed by Shanghai Taimi Robotics Technology Company, which is located in Zhangjiang High-Tech Park in Pudong.
Shanghai's CloudMinds Technology developed a series of smart robots for epidemic prevention and control, such as patrol robots, cleaning and disinfection robots and transportation robots, which were widely used in the makeshift hospitals in Shanghai during the outbreak.
CloudMinds Technology is a Chinese cloud robot and service company, which is dedicated to operating smart and cloud-connected robots for people, according to Wang Bing, chairman of CloudMinds.
These robots can increase work efficiency as well as reduce the risk of cross infection, which have irreplaceable advantages in fighting the epidemic.
