New projects launched in Lin-gang Special Area to build new landmark

The Lin-gang Special Area in Shanghai held an opening ceremony for 12 major construction projects on June 20.
The projects involve finance, ecology, technology, and residential housing and include the Bank of China Financial Center and the Lin-gang Modern Cold Chain Logistics Center.
The Bank of China Financial Center will be built on West Island in Dishui Lake in the Lin-gang Special Area.
With a total construction area of 282,500 square meters, the main body of the building will consist of two twin towers with a height of 200 meters. The twin towers will include part of the commercial sector, which meets the requirements of the surrounding office buildings, community catering, and living services. They will also serve for financial industry. The companies that operate there shall be the headquarters or wholly-owned subsidiaries of the top five financial companies in the banking, securities, or insurance industries. Their office areas will make up at least 70 percent of all their office areas.
The center will become the most important industrial carrier of Lin-gang's modern service industry zone.
