Pudong New Area in Shanghai is looking to become a hot spot for what is known as all-for-one tourism, a new dynamic force in China's tourist sector -- as the district recently rolled out six featured routes for visitors to experience the achievements the area has achieved since China's reform and opening-up.
The concept of all-for-one tourism was first mentioned in 2017. It involves a national push to focus on upgrading and integrating tourist resources, public services and government regulations and policies -- to boost overall social development by using tourism as a new engine for economic growth.
The six high-quality routes are featured with reform and opening up in mind, as well scientific and technological innovation. Also featured include Riverside Avenue, city sightseeing, family vacations and rural culture.
Pudong has attracted to its ranks a considerable number of first-rate tourist operators over the years. With the reform and opening up of Pudong, the area has ushered in a new round of development opportunities, said Zhang Kuitang, tourism director of Pudong's culture and tourism administration.
Looking to the future, Pudong will map out tourism routes in Shanghai Free Trade Zone and Lingang area to boost the international profile and appeal of the district and stimulate further interest.
