Pudong to carry out one third of Shanghai's construction projects

Shanghai recently announced that it will carry out 152 major construction projects this year. One third of the projects will be located in Pudong New Area.
The projects focus on science and technology, people's wellbeing, ecological civilization, urban infrastructure, urban-rural integration, and rural revitalization. Projects in Pudong include a biopharmaceutical production base of Shanghai Pharma, a new campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, a new branch of LongHua Hospital attached to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the fourth phase expansion project of the Pudong International Airport.
The municipal government plans to invest 150 billion yuan ($21.36 billion) in the projects this year. Last year, the city invested 146.23 billion yuan in 138 major projects.
