The national pavilion of East Timor was unveiled at the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) National (Regional) Center on Dec 18.
It is the first national pavilion to open after the recent holding of the second China International Import Expo. During the expo, local specialties from East Timor attracted a lot of attention.
East Timor is currently displaying distinct local products such as civet coffee, black pepper, turmeric powder, honey, handmade wood carvings, and hand-woven products at its national pavilion, which serves as a platform for strengthening economic and trade cooperation with Chinese enterprises.
The Shanghai FTZ National (Regional) center provides exhibition and public office space, specifically for countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative and countries who participated in the China International Import Expo. To date, 12 countries and regions have exhibited items there, including Chile, the Czech Republic, and Greece.
