Pudong enterprises shine at China International Medical Equipment Fair

More than 1,000 new products were launched, including many from innovative enterprises in Shanghai's Pudong New Area, during the China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF), which concluded on May 17 in Shanghai.
Multinational medical device and solutions provider GE Healthcare, which has a technology center in Pudong's Zhangjiang Science City, unveiled 21 new products and innovative solutions, covering fields such as intelligent medical imaging equipment, digital applications and services, and mobile diagnosis.
"GE hopes to accelerate its digital transformation in China, strengthen the medical industry, and facilitate the intelligent transition of medical services in China and the implementation of a hierarchical medical system," said Duan Xiaoying, CEO of GE China.
Another enterprise from Zhangjiang – Shanghai Biotecan Pharmaceuticals Co Ltd, brought its new genetic testing product OncoPrint 551TM, which can assist clinicians in screening tumor targeted drugs, immunotherapy prediction, endocrine drug selection, prognosis analysis and genetic risk assessment.
Additionally, an online exhibition using VR technology was launched during the CMEF to provide visitors with more straightforward and convenient services.
The CMEF was part of the 2019 Health Industry Summit (tHIS). Statistics show that this year's tHIS attracted more than 7,500 exhibitors, gathered innovative products from more than 40 countries and regions, and hosted over 130 conferences and events.
