Shanghai deepens co-op with global IP organization
Shanghai municipal government signed a supplemental agreement with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Nov 5 to strengthen cooperation in the intellectual property field.
According to the agreement, the two sides will work together to promote the transfer and application of intellectual property, build a diversified mechanism for intellectual property dispute resolution, and strengthen intellectual property talent training.
They will also introduce more international intellectual property resources to Shanghai, and develop the city into an intellectual property hub in the Asia-Pacific region.
An international operation pilot platform affiliated to the national intellectual property operation public service platform was also inaugurated in Shanghai.
The platform will focus on intellectual property trading services, financial innovation and rights protection abroad. It is expected to be an intellectual property operation service center located in Shanghai that serves the entire country, and links it with the world.
