Zhangjiang cultural companies shine at Shanghai Bookfair
A number of creative cultural companies from Zhangjiang, Pudong, Shanghai displayed their latest products at the Shanghai Bookfair, that took place from Aug 15 to 21.
The companies in attendance included Ximalaya FM, a popular audio-sharing platform in China, Yuewen Group, China's largest online publishing and e-book company, and Hujiang, a Baidu-invested Chinese online education company with over 100 million users, among others.
The creative cultural industry has become one of Zhangjiang's pillar industries, and it is hoped that the presence of such companies at the bookfair will help to further increase its national exposure and influence.
The 2018 Shanghai Bookfair, themed "Love Reading, Love Life", attracted more than 500 publishing houses and cultural companies to attend. More than 150,000 varieties of books were on display and over 1,150 reading-themed activities were held at venues across the city.
