"Made in China 2025" is targeting breakthroughs in ten key areas, and especially in high-end CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines -- automated milling tools and robots that make industrial components without direct human assistance.

Industry 4.0, supporting Made in China 2025, is a combination of manufacturing and information technology that realizes the transformation from "manufacturing" to "intellectual creation", and then to "creation".

From traditional industry, aircraft manufacturing, high-speed rail, nuclear power, and digital technology to the emerging fields of environmental protection and energy saving and 3D printing, industries are all developing steadily and digitally. "Future industry" is based on digital technology innovation. It will be a turning point in changing production modes and improving the living environment of mankind, and will fundamentally be an important milestone of China's industrial revolution. 
Against this background, FIF (Future Industrial Fair) 2018 will be held in November in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre by VNU Exhibition Asia Ltd. and Factory Network Asia Group.

The fair is co-sponsored by the Shanghai office of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the Consulate-General of Japan in Shanghai, the Shanghai medium and small enterprise development service center, the Jiangsu Sub-Council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF), the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders' Association (TMBA), and the Korea Association of Machinery Industry (KOAMI).
