Courses of classics attract young students

Kangqiao town, part of Pudong New Area, continues to recruit young students to study Chinese ancient classics, according to a news report published on Pudong's website on March 1.
The courses are themed around filial piety, which are carried out in the forms of reading of classics, practicing Chinese traditional etiquettes, calligraphy and martial art. The interesting and meaningful courses have attracted numerous children.
One of the previous learners said that the courses effectively offers a good platform to get a better understanding of Chinese ancient educators, their different school of thoughts, Chinese custom and tradition.
The young scholar also shared his developments during the courses, for example he has now developed the habit of reading Chinese classics, through which he absorbs the knowledge as to how to behave socially and get on well with others.
Parents also spoke highly of the learning of the classics saying that the courses could improve the morality of the children.
