Shanghai Pudong International Airport has greatly enhanced its operation capacity in that it can now maintain a good working state in spite of low visibility, according to a news report published on Pudong's website on March 1.

Pudong International Airport is considered as one of China's three international airports, the other two being Beijing Capital International Airport and Hong Kong International Airport.

Besides, Pudong International Airport is China's only airport which owns five tracks and also receives the highest amount of foreign passengers among all of China's airports.

On March 29, an airbus A320 from Lanzhou landed on the fourth track of the airport, signifying that the fourth track officially came into operation.

Moreover, the fifth track is orientated for airplanes made in China. In 2017, C919 successfully fulfilled the test flight on the fifth track.

Besides, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, the other major airport in Shanghai, primarily serves domestic airlines, which is supplementary to Pudong International Airport.
