Zhangjiang to put on a love-themed musical play
A popular love-themed musical Queen of Coquetry is set to be staged
at the Zhangjiang Theatre Valley in Shanghai's Pudong New Area on Dec
26-27.
The play tells love stories of four urban women living in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei. When the women face issues in their lives, they meet four men who teach them coquetry skills. Eventually, coquetry helps them change their lives.
Director of the play, He Nian has directed over 20 popular dramas and has won the Golden Lion Award for Excellent Drama Director, the most reputed award in China's drama sector.
The Zhangjiang Theatre Valley that opened this August has become a new cultural landmark in Zhangjiang Science City.
The Valley was built on the site of the Shanghai Museum of Animation and is expected to serve as a place for young people to both enjoy and take part in dramatic arts.
A variety of children's plays, musicals, classic dramas will be put on at the valley, satisfying local white collar workers' needs for high art and making Zhangjiang a good place to work and live.
