Pudong publishes inspection and quarantine plans
Shanghai Entry- Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, along with Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone Administrative Committee published a new set of inspection and quarantine service plans in a press conference held on Nov 15.
The newly developed 10 measures cover a wide range of areas, such as establishing an intelligent inspection center at Zhangjiang Cross-border Scientific Innovation Center, encouraging Pudong's development into a cluster of imports of consumption goods, prioritizing the implementation of credit certification system in original production place, setting up a comprehensive evaluation system of inspection and quarantine and classified risk monitoring, and advancing the protection of the products made in Free Trade Zone.
The measures were tailor-made for the enterprises and were formulated based on the results of large-scale investigation and the suggestions of the enterprises, local governments, and the administrative committee of free trade zone.
In addition, the measures echo the spirits of Xi Jinping's report in 19th National Congress, that is to grant more power to Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone. Meanwhile, the measures have received the approval from General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
What is more, these measures are currently still at the experimental stage and the successful ones will soon be put into wider use, not only in Shanghai but the whole country.
