China's first woodland shared office community has opened in Shanghai's Zhangjiang Science City in Pudong New Area, combining flexible workspaces, startup support, and competition-based incubation.

The newly launched Zhangjiang Digital Nomad OPC Community is set in a wooded area. The site features more than 10 glass cabins where entrepreneurs can work in a natural setting while accessing startup resources and networking opportunities.

The community provides a comprehensive support system featuring innovation hubs, shared meeting spaces, startup apartments, and public amenities such as fitness centers, livestream studios, and presentation venues. Entrepreneurs have the convenience of working, learning, and living nearby.

The initiative focuses on OPCs utilizing AI tools to assist individuals in building businesses and collaborating with partners as necessary. Zhangjiang also offers industrial matchmaking, computing resources, talent services, and financing support to aid startups in their growth.

Pudong is broadening its support beyond just workspaces. The inaugural Super Individual AI + Healthcare Bootcamp, hosted in Zhangjiang Science City, united AI developers, doctors, researchers, and entrepreneurs to transform ideas into tangible products.

The bootcamp served as a dedicated incubation platform for the eighth Pudong Artificial Intelligence Innovation Application Competition. Supported by industry experts, universities, and local AI communities, participating teams developed solutions for healthcare, chronic disease management, elderly care, and medical supply chains.

A total of 14 AI healthcare projects were developed during the program. Outstanding teams will receive fast-track access to the competition finals, helping shorten the path from concept to market-ready innovation.

By combining startup communities with industry-focused incubation, Pudong aims to build a full-chain innovation model that helps AI entrepreneurs turn ideas into real-world applications.
