The German Design Council, a leading authority in branding and design, has launched its Shanghai representative office in the Expo Area in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, marking the 27th international organization to establish a presence in the area.
Founded in 1953 and headquartered in Frankfurt, the council is dedicated to enhancing brand value through design, promoting green economic transitions, and driving innovation-led industrial upgrades. It offers services such as strategic consulting, brand promotion, and international accolades like the German Design Awards.
The Shanghai office will serve as a hub for forging industry connections, investment cooperation, and design exchanges. It aims to connect German companies with the Chinese market and support Chinese firms in expanding overseas.
