The Shanghai Eastern Hub International Business Cooperation Zone (IBCZ) is preparing to host its first major global event, the 2026 Appliance and Electronics World Expo (AWE), from March 12 to 15.

As international exhibitors face logistical hurdles, the IBCZ offers a streamlined solution. It provides a quick 25-minute transfer from Pudong International Airport to the exhibition floor, visa-free entry for invited international guests, and duty-free importation of exhibition goods.

AWE 2026 will feature a dual-venue format, with the Shanghai New International Expo Centre showcasing smart living scenarios across 140,000 square meters and the IBCZ highlighting cutting-edge technologies across 30,000 square meters.

The IBCZ's proximity to Pudong International Airport, a mere 15-minute drive, ensures minimal logistical challenges for global visitors. Invited overseas personnel can enter without a Chinese visa for up to 30 days, with extension options available. Domestic personnel can access the zone with valid passes, and multilingual services and international payment options enhance the visitor experience.

Logistics within the zone are optimized for efficiency, with bonded goods moving freely in compliance with regulations. Fast-track customs clearance and potential tax exemptions reduce operating costs for businesses.

Under the theme "Smart AI, Smarter Future", AWE 2026 will showcase products like humanoid robots, interactive devices, and AI-powered smart glasses. Leading companies such as Haier, Huawei, AgiBot, and Xreal will participate, highlighting innovations across the intelligent terminal industry. The expo will also feature procurement matchmaking and industry exchange activities, promoting cross-sector cooperation and industrial growth.
