Recently, Xinzhi Group, a leading manufacturer of core motor components, partnered with Xin Development Company under the Waigaoqiao Group to relocate its Shanghai R&D Center to the Waigaoqiao XINeocity 3.0 industrial community, which differs from the traditional 1.0 manufacturing parks or 2.0 urban CBD office buildings.
The Waigaoqiao XINeocity 3.0 industrial community covers approximately 1.67 square kilometers, focusing on a "4+1" industrial system that includes life and health, intelligent manufacturing, comprehensive services, next-generation information technology, and future industries. It aims to set a benchmark for the vitality of the industrial park and serve as a model for integrating industry and city development.
Zhou Fabiao, general manager of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Xin Development Co Ltd, stated that the community is designed to address the needs of industrial upgrading and urban development. It emphasizes the integration of industry and city, transcending the geographical boundaries of traditional industrial parks, and fostering more spaces, diverse corporate ecosystems, and dynamic community interactions, he noted.
Currently, the Waigaoqiao XINeocity 3.0 industrial community is home to approximately 7,000 employees, with individuals under the age of 35 making up about 60 percent of the workforce.
