The Global Hub Waigaoqiao — designated as a pioneering center for the initiative — welcomed participants from diverse backgrounds, including officials from Nepal's administrative institutions and Portugal's trade and investment bodies.
Over the course of their visit, the students engaged in a comprehensive program comprising lectures, workshops and field trips.
These aimed to foster an understanding of global trade dynamics, China's trade policies and its best practices in creating a world-class business environment.
Interactions with top scholars from top Shanghai universities deepened the insights of the students into the evolving landscape of international trade and investment.
The program emphasized the significance of talent in driving the success of the Silk Road E-commerce cooperation zone. Through in-depth discussions and case studies, the participants gained invaluable insights into addressing trade barriers and navigating new challenges.
Post-event feedback was described as being overwhelmingly positive — with the participants praising the Shanghai FTZ for its innovative institutional framework, open-door policies and preferential measures that are in line with international standards.
The collaboration reportedly not only boosted cross-cultural understanding, but also laid a solid foundation for future collaborations and partnerships within the Silk Road E-commerce initiative.
