Many roads in Shanghai are named after different regions around the world, reflecting China's proactive attitude in promoting high-level openness and constructing free trade zones. These roads connect enterprises, factories, and consumers, and link China with the world.
On Oct 29, 2013, China's first pilot free trade zone was set up here, opening a new chapter in China's opening up to the outside world. Nearly half of the 302 institutional innovation achievements replicated and promoted nationwide originated in Shanghai. The Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone is a shining example of China's commitment to openness. It has opened doors to economic globalization, sharing opportunities with the world and creating prosperity together.
