The world's first Zootopia-themed land will officially open at the Shanghai Disney Resort by the end of this year.
Integrating Disney's innovative imagination and cutting-edge technology, this new area themed on the popular 2016 animation of the same name will feature a blend of the Disney experience and elements of Chinese culture.
Visitors can expect to see state-of-the-art mechanical animatronic technology as well as advanced projection special effects technology that bring to life many characters from the film.
Among the attractions is Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, where visitors will get to experience a thrilling police chase on a trackless ride system that takes them on a journey featuring iconic terrains from the animation.
The new themed area will also feature a host of retail and lifestyle amenities, including Jumbeaux Café, an ice cream shop where visitors can beat the heat with a hawthorn berry popsicle, and an apparel store stocked with the Zootopia Cute collection. There will also be two areas themed after the characters Yax and Duke Weaselton.
Shanghai Disneyland has also collaborated with various alliance partners to create unique experiences and products for visitors. Among these partners is jewelry retailer Pandora, which will create a special charm themed on the famous paw-shaped popsicle from the animation.
