The foreign-funded Raffles Hospital recently started to operate in Pudong New Area in East China's Shanghai after it was granted a license. It will provide high-quality healthcare services to local residents and expatriates in the city.
Wholly owned by a Hong Kong subsidiary of the Singapore-based Raffles Medical Group, the hospital is by far the largest foreign-invested comprehensive medical project in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
It has more than 70,000 square meters of floor area and is equipped with 400 beds in different types of wards, such as single rooms, double rooms, as well as suites. The hospital has a wide range of departments, including surgery, internal medicine, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, gynecology, and pediatrics.
According to the hospital's plan, a total of 100 beds and four dental chairs will be available first, while more beds will be open for patients to use if necessary.
The hospital is located at No 200 Yuanzhao Road in Pudong. The outpatient department is open from 8:30 to 15:30 every Monday to Saturday, while emergency services are available from 17:00 to 24:00 every day.
