A short video challenge contest with the theme of "Lighting up Shanghai FTZ" was launched on successful Chinese short video app Douyin, which is known internationally as Tik Tok, on July 15.
Organizers said the event aims to take Douyin further as a carrier to collect short video works that reflect the institutional innovation achievements of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
It also intends to demonstrate the reform results achieved by the free trade zone in the past six years, further optimize the business environment, fully stimulate the vitality of market players, and promote the high-quality development of Pudong's economy.
The contest requires that each short video should center on the theme that institutional innovation helps optimize business environment, and show the spirit of reform, innovation and the continuous progress of the Shanghai FTZ from the different perspectives of enterprises and ordinary people.
Organizers said that enterprises that practice the innovation system and netizens who care about or have joined in the construction of the free trade zone can participate. The contest will last until August 31.
All the works should conform to the core values of socialism and should be original, organizers said.
Individual participants should write the name of the work and provide a short text description to clearly state the theme. Works from enterprises should clearly mark the company's name.
Intended participants can follow the official account “Lighting up Shanghai FTZ” on Douyin (Douyin number: ftzybqy2019620), record short videos, and notify the official account with“@”and tag with the topic "#Lighting up Shanghai FTZ” when uploading the videos. The registration will be confirmed if the videos get approval.

Meanwhile, if enterprises participating in the selection of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Institutional Innovation Top 10 Classic Model Enterprises receive awards at the contest, they will be awarded corresponding points.
The organizing committee will be the first to release five short videos periodically. Excellent works by individuals and enterprises will be displayed on the official account.
