2019 CIIE promotion in full swing

The promotion for the second China International Import Expo (CIIE) is in full swing just one month after the first one.

According to the China International Import Expo Bureau (CIIEB), about 100 most outstanding enterprises in their industries have signed up to participate in the CIIE in 2019, many of which are among the Fortune 500.

Additionally, this will be the first time for nearly 20 percent of these enterprises to participate in the expo.

The total exhibition area of the second CIIE will exceed that of the first one, including an area of 30,000 square meters for the country pavilion. Meanwhile the area of the business exhibition will increase according to the needs of exhibitors.

In order to further promote the second CIIE, CIIEB has held promotion campaigns in many countries, including the United States, Brazil, Panama, Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia.

Estee Lauder and Honeywell, enterprises of the Fortune 500, signed on Dec 10, the first day of the promotion campaign in the United States.

Honeywell, who signed 17 project agreements at the first CIIE, will triple its exhibition area in 2019. According to Yu Feng, general manager of Honeywell China, the company will devote more resources to the second CIIE and display its high-tech products in a more creative and interactive way.

Chinese Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan pointed out during the National Business Conference on Dec 22 that the first CIIE became China’s most extensive and largest diplomatic activity in 2018. It not only became an international first-class exhibition, but also set up a milestone of high-level opening-up in the new era.

The registration of the second CIIE will be closed on April 30, 2019, two months earlier than the first one.
