Shanghai FTZ pulls out the stops to attract talent
The Bonded Area at the Shanghai Free Trade Zone (FTZ) has taken various measures to attract talented personnel this year.
One such measure is the hosting of job fairs. A monthly job fair is held to offer various positions from local companies, while a weekly job fair has been launched for special needs such as for a particular company, for particular positions, or for particular employees such as interns or retired soldiers.
This year, a total of 30 such job fairs have been organized with the participation of 663 enterprises from the FTZ and 3,038 positions on offer.
As well as the job fairs, professional human resources service providers have been brought in to help local companies recruit highly-skilled workers and senior managers that are hard to find.
The bonded area is also actively promoting university-enterprise cooperation to help local companies lure top university graduates.
Also, the Shanghai FTZ International Talent Service Center will provide a follow-up service to companies attending the job fairs to evaluate the effects of the events. For those unable to find appropriate employees after attending multiple job fairs, the center will help them analyze the reasons and work out solutions.
