Artificial intelligence is no longer just something to watch in Shanghai's Pudong New Area. During the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), visitors can see, touch, and interact with AI through the WAIC City Walk 2026.
Running from July 15 to 20, the citywide event links AI labs, innovation spaces, and industrial parks across Shanghai. Two of the six themed routes are in Zhangjiang Science City: one focuses on large AI models, and the other on robotics and core AI technologies.
At the Zhangjiang AI Demo Center, visitors can explore interactive AI activities. They can create custom clothing designs by uploading a photo and selecting preferred styles, or instantly turn famous paintings into new artworks using AI.
Nearby, the AI Matrix Store showcases AI products for everyday life, including smart education tools, wearable devices, and embodied AI products. Visitors can explore, test, and even buy the latest AI technologies.
During WAIC, the Zhangjiang Science Hall will also host robot boxing matches, robot dog races, and obstacle challenges, offering visitors a closer look at the latest advances in robotics.
Just 20 minutes away, the Zhangjiang Robot Valley Future Experience Center displays the full robotics industry chain, from humanoid and medical robots to key components and software.
By taking AI out of exhibition halls and into the city, Pudong is giving visitors a chance to experience how AI is becoming part of everyday life.
